Bali Prenup Photoshoot – Aug 2018

We had such a great time with our glam team!

It was a fine cool day in August 23, 2018 when we had our scheduled prenup photoshoot in Bali. Lucky for us the weather was perfect! No sweat the entire day and makeup stayed in place (girls, you know what I mean 😉 )

Since we had a jampacked day and we wanted to catch the sunrise for the first set, my makeup started as early as as 4am in our Ubud villa.

Prep Venue

If you recall from my recent Bali post, we stayed in a very picturesque villa in the heart of Ubud. This is where we asked our photographers and makeup artist to meet us and they arrived promptly.

Styling

Most of our pegs came from Pinterest and popular Instagram travel accounts. Styling was of course c/o myself for both of us.

To maximize the locations, we planned outfits for each one. From casual wear to long dress to formal gown, I probably had the most outfit changes. My fiancé as you’ll see in our video was at ease in polo shirt and shorts. He also brought a suit jacket, which came in handy.

Shoot Locations

It was a two-hour drive from Northern Bali to Melasti beach area which was closer to Kuta. I personally wanted Melasti beach despite the additional shoot fee because we’re getting a combo of limestone rock in the quarry site, Balinese gate, and the beach. Not surprisingly there were more than 10 couples from Taiwan and Mainland China doing their wedding shoots on the same day.

Anyway, we were happy our photographers made us feel comfortable and we genuinely enjoyed the entire shoot. They tried their best to copy my pegs but added extra oomph for originality and spontaneity.

The Output

I’m very proud of our teamwork. It definitely shows in our smiles how ecstatic we were while doing the poses and feeling every bit of Bali. This video barely shows half of the photos we took, only some of the best ones.
